IAIRI is an international research institute focused on how artificial intelligence is reshaping governance, industry, life-science innovation, and scientific discovery.
We support researchers, institutions, and decision-makers through white papers, institutional analysis, and globally informed research on the strategic consequences of AI.
Who We Are
What we do
Research
Produce structured analysis on emerging AI developments, institutional adaptation, and domain-specific implications across policy, industry, life sciences, and scientific discovery.
Convene
Support international dialogue among researchers, institutions, and public-interest stakeholders who need clearer shared understanding of AI's strategic and operational consequences.
Advise
Produce decision-useful framing for governance, institutional strategy, and high-consequence AI adoption.
Artificial intelligence is advancing faster than many of the institutions responsible for understanding, governing, and deploying it well.
The challenge is increasingly institutional, operational, and international. IAIRI is being built to address that gap through white papers, structured research, and institutional analysis that connect technical change to real policy, industrial, and scientific decisions.
Why IAIRI
IAIRI combines original analysis, structured curation, and cross-border institutional dialogue. We are not designed as a high-volume commentary platform; credibility is being built through editorial discipline, visible research structure, and a focused portfolio of strong public outputs.
Our aim is to identify consequential developments, frame them through institutional analysis, and connect them to the decisions facing governments, companies, laboratories, and research organizations.
That same discipline shapes how we approach external engagement: selective institutional exchange, serious research conversations, and collaboration only where the fit is substantively strong.
How We Work
IAIRI organizes its public-facing research around four areas where AI is reshaping institutions, production systems, and scientific practice.
AI Policy and Governance. Regulation, evaluation, oversight, and international coordination.
AI for Industry and Intelligent Manufacturing. Production systems, operational intelligence, quality, reliability, and applied industrial deployment.
AI for Life Sciences and Biomanufacturing. Biological research workflows, biomanufacturing operations, and the infrastructure required for credible AI-enabled innovation.
AI for Advanced Materials and Scientific Discovery. Materials discovery, simulation, experimentation, and the institutional foundations of AI-enabled science.
Research Agenda
Editorial Discipline. We prioritize selective, structured, and decision-useful public outputs over volume.
Research Integrity. We distinguish clearly between IAIRI's own analysis and the external work we reference, curate, or discuss.
Institutional Clarity. We frame AI not only as a technical domain, but as a question of institutions, operating structures, and governance capacity.
Responsible Public Understanding. We aim to support more rigorous public and institutional understanding of AI, especially where the consequences of confusion are high.
Institutional Principles
Institutional Exchange and Contact
IAIRI is being built as a disciplined research institute for white papers, institutional analysis, and governance-aware understanding of artificial intelligence. We welcome thoughtful contact from researchers, institutions, and public-interest partners interested in research dialogue, institutional exchange, or future collaboration.
Rather than presenting a broad member network before it is mature, IAIRI is developing a more selective exchange model centered on serious conversations, credible public work, and long-horizon fit.
